A by-election has been triggered by Tristram Hunt’s decision to leave his role as Labour MP for Stoke Central and take up a decidedly more permanent position as Director of the Victoria and Albert Museum. Hunt is “delighted” with his new job and the V&A is “delighted” to appoint him, according to their website.
